DID YOU EVER!

DID YOU EVER!
DID YOU EVER!!! I was fixing a lettuce and tomato salad. I shredded the lettuce and cut the tomatoe up in chunks and tossed them together in a bowl. I then took a small mixing dish down from the cabinet to mix my oil and vinegar dressing, that I love. I like the Bertolli Extra Light Olive oil, because it has a delicate light taste. I use the Balsamic Vinegar of Modena just because I like how it tastes. Then I add 1/2 teas. each of dried basil, oregano, parsley, celery salt and fresh minced garlic. And a little sea salt when I'm ready to eat it. Sooo, as I was just putting in the last of this list , the garlic....the dish tips over and it all spatters down the kitchen drawers and all over the floor and on my bare feet. Poor Hayle (my yorkie), didn't know what was the matter as I was yelling all kinds of bad words......What a mess!!!! So needless to say I had to clean up the mess and start all over. Finally I got to sit down and eat my salad.

Revenge!

Revenge- One of human natures faults. An Act of retaliating in order to get even. When someone insults us or hurts our feelings we want to avenge and get satisfaction. But to be vindictive is not always satisfing. One sometimes just hurts themself by acting on the desire for revenge. Sometimes its best to just let it go and forgive or forget it. Forgiving can be a much better solution for the soul. It makes you a better person than the one that did the act of insult or hurt to begin with. I forgive you, will you forgive me?

Yorkie's!

Yorkie's, WOW! They are the sweetiest little puppies alive. My Yorkie is small but has a big personality. She rules my life! She doesn't bark like most yorkies. That is she only barks when she needs to get my attention. She uses her body language most of the time to communicate to me. She loves to go bike riding with me in the morning and then I take her for a walk on my cool down lap. She loves it. All the other dogs in the neighborhood bark at her but she just keeps walking. She doesn't take any lip from them. This picture was taken when she was taking an afternoon rest. She had been playing with her toys most of the morning and just called it a time out. She keeps her eyes on me and is there beside me all the time. Yes she is very special to me.

Football!

Football! Yes, its that time again. This year season starts soon. My grandson is number 50 of the Eufaula Ironheads football team. There schedule is set and the team is in shape from all there practice this past summer. I have to say he looks great (beafed up). Its so much fun to watch the High School Team play. I think they are more fun to watch than the Pro's. They are just learning the game and doing a great job. Who knows maybe he will be one of the Pro's someday and then I will watch the Pro's games. haha But for now its High School Football for me! GO! IRONHEADS!!!!

Laser Eye Surgery!

Have you ever watched it done or had it done to you? WOW! its amazing. A few years back my nephew was having it done and he ask me to go with him because he would need someone to drive him home after the surgery. I was excited about going. We got in the out patient clinic and they called him back to get ready. They said I could go with him and watch if I like. Well, I was excited and willing to go hold his hand and watch this done. First they put a few drops of narcotic in his eye to numb it. He would be awake while it was done. Then they programed the machine, the dept they wanted for his correction needed. The machine then did the surgery, it was like cutting a pie in slices around his pupil. The slices were done on the iris of the eye. Then they bandaged his eye up so no sun light could get to it. and sent him home. He was having the other eye done a few weeks later. I tell you this was amazing watching this done. My nephew has had both eyes done and
its been several years now. He can see very well and don't have to wear glasses or contacts anymore. I highly recommend this surgery. I haven't had to have this done but I have seen great results from it.

How to answer the telephone!

How to answer the phone! We all have phone's today, land phones, cell phone's. But how you answer the phone matters. So many of us answer abruptly, HELLO! What you calling this hour for! What you want! Who you calling! Wrong Number! The caller is taken by surprise by your tone of voice. Some are rude and obnoxious. One should answer the phone with a big smile. The person on the other end of the line can tell this. Really they can. If its your boyfriend or girlfriend you should really be nice an sweet when you say hello....it really matters to them how you answer the phone when they call you. So,,, You should be very polite and smile when you answer Hello! That is if you want a good response on the other end of the phone.

Control!

Control! When you have the power to control, you exercise restraining or directing influence over someone or something. You can have power of authority to guide or manage this person or thing. Control is a technique one uses to restrain, regulate or rule. But a person has to be controllable before they can be controlled, or give another person the power to lead, guide or even dominate them. Each one of us have the power to control or be controllable. Which one are you?

Cold!

Cold! Can describe so manythings. Low temperature, emotion-coldness, common cold-upper respiratory tract infection, Computer output to Laser Disc-a method of data storage and retrieval. But I'm talking about the low temperature. Cold after a storm blew through yesterday. The moisture in the air is Cold, but not cold enough to turn on the heater, and how it is affecting my body, my mood. First, I had to put on warmer cloths, fix a cup of coffee to warm up my body on the inside. I'm fighting the mood to curl up in bed to stay warm. I don't like cold weather because my joints get cold and stiff and sometimes hurt. But I do have to admit it is a great break from the HOT days we have had hear in Oklahoma this summer. So I think I will take control of this cold day and just enjoy it and curl up with a good book on the couch.

Fear! State of mind!

Fear!
Is a powerful emotion we feel when we want to avoid something or someone. We feel fear when we are threatened, in danger or even scared. Fear is connected to pain, and even death. Even tho' we all try to avoid or deny fear. It is an emotion we all have sometime. We can never run away from it we just have to learn to deal with it, and most have not, most of all myself! We need fear to survive and even sometimes it keeps us from harm. Who ever thought it could be a good state of mind!

Q & A !

Questions and Answers!
When we ask a question is it just a yes or no question! Does it need more detail, more explanation. Is it a question that the answer will satisfy us. Is it a question that we really don't want to know the answer, but we ask it anyway!
The answer to the question has the power to make us feel, hurt, sad, happy, excited, confused and anger. Do we always get an answer, is it the answer we want to hear. Or, is the answer just a sigh, smile, hug or kiss!
We use questions and answers every day to communicate with another, its our way to learn and grow!

Drama!

Drama! What is it really... a play, theater as an art, sensational event, or emotionalism!!! There is not one of us that does not use or has had a little drama in there life. Some of us love Drama and some can not deal with it. Is there anyone out there that does not like to play? OR see a play! Theater is an Art and has been entertaining us for ages. Everyone loves a sensational event. Like that first kiss, engagements, Marriages, Giving birth to a baby girl or boy, holding your first grandchild, getting your first car, or buying your first home, don't forget catching your first fish or shooting your first big buck! I could go on and on with sensational events. Then there is emotionalism....you can feel emotional falling in love, when a relationship ends, when someone becomes terminally ill, or a loved one dies. Drama is part of our daily lives in one way or another.

Labor Day!

Labor day! What do you do on this day? Do you work or take a day off! Most take the day off and a few work. What would happen if everyone took this day off! No stores open, no gas stations open, no Hospitals open. Nothing open!!! Wow, that could be a bad thing. I have to give a big thank you to those that do work. Because it lets me enjoy my day going shopping, eating out, playing on the lake, having plenty of gas for the boats and sky doos. And lets don't forget the Police Officers. They look out for us on the highways and anytime we may need them. So I hope you all were safe and enjoyed your day!

Blonde or Not?

Blonde or Not? Someone asked me today If I was really Blonde or not. WOW! as I pondered the answer, I looked in the mirror and gosh, I can't tell anymore. I have so much gray now that I'm getting close to my golden years. I guess thats why they call it the golden years?!! I'm at that age where it doesn't matter anymore what color my hair is, being Blonde is just a plus! I just look at myself and say, damn you look great, and smile!!!!!

The hidden books of the bible!

CAN YOU FIND SIXTEEN BOOKS OF THE BIBLE?
I ONCE MADE A REMARK ABOUT THE HIDDEN BOOKS OF THE BIBLE. IT WAS A LULU KEPT PEOPLE LOOKING SO HARD FOR FACTS AND FOR OTHERS IT WAS A REVELATION. SOME WERE IN A JAM. ESPECIALLY SINCE THE NAME OF THE BOOK WAS NOT CAPITALIZED, BUT THE TRUTH REALLY FINALLY STRUCK HOME TO NUMBERS OF READERS.TO OTHERS IT WAS A REAL JOB. WE WANT IT TO BE A MOST FASCINATING FEW MOMENTS FOR YOU. YES, THERE WILL BE SOME VERY EASY ONES TO SPOT. OTHERS MAY REQUIRE JUDGES TO HELP THEM, AND I WILL QUICKLY ADMIT IT USUALLY TAKES A MINISTER TO FIND ONE OF THEM, AND THERE WILL BE LOUD LAMENTATIONS WHEN IT IS FOUND. A LITTLE LADY SAYS SHE BREWS A CUP OF TEA, SO SHE CAN CONCENTRATE BETTER. LETS SEE HOW WELL YOU CAN COMPLETE. RELAX NOW, FOR THERE REALLY ARE SIXTEEN NAMES OF BOOKS IN THE BIBLE IN THIS STORY.
(Note: One preacher found fifteen books in twenty minutes, but it took him three weeks to find the sixteenth one!)So time yourself and let me know when you have found all sixteen of them.best of luck,

Feelings!

Feelings! Sometimes I wish I didn't have them because my back hurts so bad. The pain never stops. I have had so many epidoral steriod shots for pain and they don't work. I really don't understand why! I have had all the test and surgery twice last year. I go back to the doctor a week from Monday. I still have hope that he will find out why I'm in so much pain and stop it. I'm learning to live with the pain but really don't want to just live with it, I want it to stop. I'm glad I can still feel! Because if I stop feeling the pain what then?

The Vanilla Candle!

I take you in my hands, you so smooth to touch, yet firm, creamy white in color. I place you on your pedestal of glass with small rocks of gray, tan and charcoal colors. I then strike the match to light the wax coated wick. The flame dances and begins to add the smell of vanilla in the air. The warm glow lights up the dark room, so romance can take place in the presence of the vanilla candle.
